IRC CODES OF CONDUCT

Imperial Dragoon Strike Fleet Internet Relay Chat Conduct Rule

In any Internet Relay Chat channel, whether it's an official channel, or just related to the IDSF, all members of the Imperial Dragoon Strike Fleet will abide by the following rules:

 1) No obscene or abusive language, or language that could be deemed offensive to anyone.

Be it swearing or discriminating language against race, religion, sex, sexual preference/affectional status, age, or gender.  Offensive and disrespectful language will not be tolerated, and a reported offense may result in a charge by the Inquisition Board.

 2) Ops in IDSF channels will not abuse their "power".

Persons misusing their ops in an IDSF channel will not be tolerated and will lose this privilege; their X/W access will be suspended.  Inappropriate use of ops includes unwarranted kicks or bans, or kicks and bans without warning.

 3) No impersonations of other offices shall take place.

Impersonation of another officer can be be as simple as using another officers "nick" or using a false rank or position in your nick.  Impersonation is also pretending to be an officer you are not, to a channel or individual.  Persons found to be breaking this rule should be informed of their offense and kicked from the channel.  If they do not change their information, they can be banned from the channel for 24 hours.

 4) No annoying flooding of channels, misuse of colors, overuse in displaying mp3 titles, etc.

"Flooding" a channel, means entering a large amount of text in a short time, or repeating the same text over and over, as to be annoying.  Ops should supply one warning to an offender, kick them for the second offense, and set a ban on them after the third offense, for 10 minutes.

Persons should use limited colors in their text, while in IDSF channels.  Repeated mp3 titles, away messages, auto-greetings can also be considered annoying.
