This
section will detail the many programs that can be used for designing missions in
the various different game platforms used by the ISDF as well as the programs
used to view pilot files.
This
is one of the best mission editors around for TIE Fighter, however having said
that it is known for it throwing up a few problems within Win 98. As yet I
don’t think it has been used with Windows ME. TFW is also capable of creating
custom .LFD for TIE Fighter. This alone makes it one of the best.
This
can also be used for extracting the information from pilot files such as mission
scores etc. Please note that when using this, be very careful when using it to
do so. Any pilots who use this to edit their scores etc will be discovered and
referred to the ISB in violation in the Cheating Policy.
Not
a bad little editor, only really let down in the briefing and waypoint editing
areas but is one of the more stable TIE Fighter editors available.
The
creator of this program has abandoned it, and made it freeware. However the
freeware version cannot be found anywhere (well be me anyways). To that end I
have included the registration codes for the Freeware version

Out
of the two I prefer to use TFW but TMB is just as good.
This
is the best XvT editor around. Nice and easy system for the creation of
Briefings. It is also capable of creating .LST and additional .WAV files for
your missions.
Works
just like its TIE Fighter counterpart and as a result can be a little unstable
running under Win98.
This
is the best X-Wing Alliance editor that you can get and it is still being worked
on by the author. If you plan to make any battles it is well worth registering
as it only costs around $10.
This
is the shareware version of the above editor. Still the best you can get though
it is slightly restricted.
A
cracking little editor, but the author has stopped working on it.
A
patch for the editor above.
